Key Job duties
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and cook dishes consistently, adhering to recipes and portion guidelines.
- Station Management: Set up and maintain clean, organized workstations, rotating through various stations as needed.
- Cooking: Execute dishes efficiently with precision, ensuring simultaneous, high-quality output.
- Sanitation and Safety: Comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining sanitary food-preparation areas.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, communicating effectively and assisting in training new members.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a line cook in fine dining or upscale restaurants.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in dish presentation.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in the kitchen.
Physical Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
