Mission of the Role:
The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food according to established recipes and standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in the preparation, production, and service of food for restaurant, banquet, and associate functions
- Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes by following recipes and/or product specifications
- Maintain standars of sanitation an ahere to food safety regulations
- Operate and maintain a variety of kitchen equipment including but not limited to choppers, mixing machines, slicers, steamers, grills, etc.
- Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a cook preferred
- Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds, including stocking shelves above eye level
- Must be able to bend, twist, lift, and stand for the duration of a shift
