Welcome to SPIN! Pizza operated by the Dee Jay's Group of Restaurants. We are excited to have you join our team! Cooks at SPIN! Pizza are responsible for making each handspun neapolitan pizza, sandwich or salad with the freshest ingredients. As part of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for following exact recipes ensuring that our high standards are met and each pizza is baked to perfection.

Key Job Responsibilities: Essential Duties

Demonstrates proper topping

Keeps make table clean at all times and understands its importance

Describes cleaning and restocking procedures

Describes and understands ticket time standards

Able to maintain shell spacing on table and catch shells tossed by spinner

Knows to crimp the crust of the wheat

Able to read and understand tickets and maintain order

Able to effectively communicate with all BOH positions

Able to properly paddle a pizza into the oven

Able to work position solo on low volume shifts

Willingly accepts corrective feedback and makes necessary adjustments

Describes “to-go” orders and “phone” orders and effectively gets them out at the proper times

Demonstrates “All Hands on Deck”

Report to work on time in clean SPIN! approved uniform.

Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.

Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules,

Understands Pizza is Our Business

Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to insure proper food handling policies are adhered to.

Support and assist fellow team members whenever possible.

Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to management.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Applicant must be able to use their hands and arms repetitively, stand for extended periods of time, use their feet repetitively (specifically walking around), bend over, twist body and head, reach above shoulder level, kneel to ground level, push and/or pull, or move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.

Local entrepreneurs who shared a love of Italian cuisine had the desire to create a unique restaurant concept featuring world class pizzas, salads and sandwiches alongside great wines and craft beers. That dream encompassed an atmosphere that felt like home and an extension of your kitchen; a place where family and friends could gather around for any type of occasion.
The menu was crafted with the partnering of a local James Beard award-winning chef. After months of trial and error and with the help of friends and family, a final SPIN! menu was created and the first restaurant opened in 2004. The fast-casual concept, one of the first of its kind, opened with grand reviews and long lines. The owners worked hard to ensure a culture of guest first service which resulted in locals driving across town with a demand to open more locations in their area… so they did.
