About the Job
- Cutting, chopping, slicing, and fileting different types of produce/proteins (especially different types of fish).
- Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, fish, and other foods used to prepare dishes and informing the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard.
- Preparing various dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
- Sterilizing all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before/during/after every use.
- Ensuring that all prep list/checklist and any ordering need is being done every day for consistency purposes.
Requirements:
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining the best product quality.
