About the Job
We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our Culinary team. This individual must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing their talents in the kitchen!
Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant.
The Cook assists the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. The Cook will maintain a passive leadership role in maintaining adequate production level form the Kitchen staff.

Your Role
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food products are of the highest quality and cooked to perfection.
- Always adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including storage areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Monitor food supplies and equipment and report any issues or shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Follow all sanitation and hygiene procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining an elevated level of attention to detail.
Marginal Functions
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
- General side work, including but not limited to, cleaning kitchen equipment, polishing, and sweeping.
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty.
- Help in other areas of the restaurant, including stewarding and food running.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A culinary degree or certification from an accredited culinary school is preferred but not required.
- 2 – 3 years of culinary experience as a line cook or similar role in hospitality.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen.
- Solid understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as required.
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certificate required or become certified within 30 days for RBS and 14 days for San Bernardio County Food Handlers.
