LINE/ GRILL COOK JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports directly to: Sous Chef
Job Overview
Located less than 10 minutes from South County is a new exciting concept, www.visitfranklinyard.com.
Guest satisfaction in our restaurant revolves around the food appearance, quality, and overall dining experience. The line cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry stations, grill, or other areas of the kitchen.
General Responsibilities
- Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follows recipes, creates consistent products, and presentation specifications as set by the Chef
- Preps, labels and restocks all items as needed throughout the shift
- Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety and
- Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment on
- Assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and
- Making sure item pars are prepped for following service
- Able to multi task on the line and take ownership of the station
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by Management and Chefs
Experience/ Knowledge:
- Understanding professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Hot line, fast paced experience
- Ability to stay focused and understanding of a basic kitchen brigade
- Knows meat tempatures
Skills/Aptitudes:
- Professional communication skills are required
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
- Able to work multiple stations and repetitive motions
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay $18-$20 hr
