About the Job
The Line Cook at our fine dining French restaurant plays a crucial role in the execution of our culinary vision. As a member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision, consistency, and creativity. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure that all dishes are executed with attention to detail, presentation, and flavor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen stations, including refrigeration and storage areas.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with servers and other staff to coordinate timing of dishes.
- Assist in the development and refinement of menu items, as well as daily specials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence in food quality, presentation, and service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a high-end or fine dining restaurant, preferably withFrench cuisine experience.
- Strong culinary skills, including knife techniques, cooking methods, and foodpreparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred but not required.
