The Person
As a Line Cook at Rhubarb, you champion Southern foodways with modern sensibilities. You believe that the whole process is important when it comes to dining: from sourcing our produce and proteins locally and farm-direct, to whole animal usage and sustainability, to working as a team to execute a consistent experience for our guests. You thrive in a high-volume environment without sacrificing quality and you know team work makes the dream work!
The Role
- Take ownership of a station from set up to production to breakdown and cleanliness
- A la minute cookery of a Southern-inspired seasonal menu in a high-volume, high-touchpoint environment
- Work as a team in a brigade-style kitchen
- Update and maintain prep lists for your station
- Communicate 86es, quality or quantity issues, and need for assistance quickly and professionally
- Contribute creatively when asked for special events, tasting menus, etc
The Qualifications
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Lift up to 50lbs
- PM availability
