About the Position

Being a Methodical line cook requires attention to detail, punctuality, a keen ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with the rest of the BOH team while maintaining a great sense of professionalism.
About the Position
The Line Cook assists with kitchen duties under the direction of the Line Lead and Head Chef. Line cooks are individual contributors who are accountable for their own performance and contribution to their team. Their primary responsibilities include:
Your Responsibilities
- Set the example of exceptional customer service by preparing dishes in a consistent, timely and well-executed manner.
- Ensure prepped items and dishes follow their respective recipes and are executed to the highest quality possible.
- Help with the weekly prep of ingredients.
- Ensure the Kitchen is clean and well-organized.
- Keep dry good shelves stocked, organized and consolidated.
- Ensure the backroom is free of clutter and boxes are unpacked, put away or taken to recycling.
- Further developing the skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Be willing to learn new concepts or ways of operating.
- Consistently execute and operate at our standards.
- Uphold our culture, values and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Effectively communicate with teammates and leadership. This includes leaving prep lists for the next team member working the line, staying up to date on Slack messages, and notifying team leads/head chef of any shortages well ahead of time.
- Offer creative solutions and a problem-solving mentality every shift.
- Contribute to achieving their team's goals, including being ready for cafe service at 7 AM and having all menu items prepared accordingly.
- Follow all required processes and procedures, including arriving on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Above all else, do their part in achieving the goal of excellent customer experiences.
Job Type
- Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
- Monday - Sunday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Must Have Weekend Availability
- Onsite at our Commons location: 147 Welborn St Greenville, SC 29601
