Depot Connect International - is seeking a skilled Lift Operator with Mechanical and Welding experience to assist with working on ISO Tanks to support operations at our East St. Louis Location

Primary responsibilities of this position (but are not limited to):
- Moving large mobile tanks and/or containers within the facility by operating and driving the large heavy forklift trucks (empty and loaded) and yard mule.
- Job duties will also include loading and unloading of other materials and assisting with other miscellaneous items as needed to contribute to the overall team effort of the terminal.
- The essential functions of the job include repairing and maintaining tank containers using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments,
- Handles welding and fitting both mild steel and stainless steel, welding parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
- Must be able to utilize both MIG and TIG
Requirements:
- Will need to know how to drive an empty lift, loaded lift and the yard mule.
- Have a minimum of one to 2 years of experience in operating heavy equipment, a yard mule.
- Experience in an industrial environment.
- Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
- Be able to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks and enclosed spaces also inside of tanks.
- Possess both welding and fitting skills.
- Ability to operate an acetylene torch.
Preferred Requirements:
- Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred candidates will also have a current forklift certification.
