Day to day as a Life Support Systems Assistant Manager
As the Life Support Systems Assistant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our life support systems to ensure optimal functionality. Your responsibilities will include monitoring water quality, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will collaborate closely with animal care teams to ensure proper care of our aquatic species and maintain habitat integrity. Daily tasks will involve data collection and analysis, as well as compiling reports to track system performance. You will mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
The Assistant Manager will also create staff schedules, approve timecards, and assist staff with time related issues. This position will assist the LSS Manager with hiring, training/mentoring, and ensuring the department is following company policies and procedures.
