Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue prospective clients through networking, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct personalized consultations and presentations to explain life insurance and financial products.
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the client base.
- Cross-Selling: Offer additional insurance products such as property, casualty, and retirement solutions to maximize customer portfolios.
Client Relationship Management:
- Needs Analysis: Perform detailed assessments of clients financial goals, insurance coverage needs, and future planning.
- Customized Solutions: Design tailored insurance plans that align with clients unique circumstances.
- Customer Service: Provide ongoing policy reviews, updates, and adjustments based on life changes or market shifts.
- Client Retention: Build long-term relationships through consistent communication and customer service excellence.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales practices comply with industry and company regulations.
- Licensing and Continuing Education: Maintain required licenses through continuous education and certification programs.
- Accurate Records: Document sales activities, client interactions, and policy details accurately and securely.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Partnership Building: Collaborate with other Farmers agents, district managers, and product specialists to enhance service delivery.
- Knowledge Sharing: Lead or participate in training workshops, team meetings, and professional development initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Represent Farmers Insurance at local events, community organizations, and financial planning seminars.
Performance Monitoring:
- Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report sales performance using Farmers CRM and reporting systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Licensing and Certifications:
- Possession of relevant licenses such as Life and Health, Series 6, and Series 63 is essential. Farmers Insurance may sponsor and train candidates for licensing, which must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of sales experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively explain complex insurance products and financial concepts to clients.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications relevant to the role.
