Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, Life Enrichment Aides provide group and individual activities for the community members. The number one goal is to bring fulfillment and happiness. By smiling and bringing a positive attitude to work every day, to promote a joyous atmosphere.
Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Assist the Life Enrichment Director in the planning, development, and implementation of activities which enrich the lives of the community members.
- Proactively encourage and support community members' rights.
- Work with volunteers - assist in work direction of volunteers as needed
- Transport community members to and from activities as needed
- Invite and encourage all community members to join all programs as appropriate and conduct "Meet and Greet" at the beginning of each program
- Facilitate the activity, and be aware of all community members at all times
- Clean up after each activity and leave the day room in good condition and ready for the next activity or meal
- Assurecommunity members safety.
- Assists in the measures taken for the care, custody, and safety of community members during group activities
- Assembles, erects, dismantles, and stores the equipment and supplies used in the recreation program and leaves areas in good condition
- Duties will involve personal contact with a varying community member population
- Tasks also will involve record keeping, attention to the environment, use of supplies and equipment, and maintenance of storage areas
- A possible varied work schedule that may include some weekends, evenings, and holidays
VI. PERSONAL, INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel,community members, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years if age of age and of good moral character.
- Must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other personnel.
- Must have a pleasant speaking voice.
- Long term experience.
