About the Job
Good Smile Connect is looking for a Licensing Coordinator to join the licensing team in the Los Angeles Branch. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic who possesses excellent organization skills, demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task. The Licensing Coordinator will collaborate with the Product Development and Marketing teams, assisting and supporting the execution of Product Development and Marketing programs across all licenses and ensures all assets and submissions have been vetted and approved by licensors and deadlines have been met.
Job Description:
- Assist and support Product Development and Marketing teams on organization and trafficking/routing of incoming product submissions
- Aggregates all product submissions and coordinates feedback with the necessary team
- Oversees deliverables and keeps track of timelines to ensure production schedules are met
- Uploads approved assets and shares with team
- Maintains Licensor lists and contract rights
- Assists with the preparation / presentation of internal and external meetings
- Assists team in researching & identifying key industry trends
- Support with general day-to-day responsibilities, new initiatives, and projects
- Coordinate both in-bound and out-bound shipments of samples to licensors
- Help develop decks for both internal and external presentations
- Create quarterly royalty reports for licensors
Qualifications:
- Highly detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments through prioritization
- Ability to build solid relationships across internal and external partners
- Ability to project manage and capable of meeting deadlines and adapting to fast paced environment
- Display ability to multitask, managing a variety of initiatives / issues simultaneously
- Exceptional organization skills/process oriented
- Capable of working with multiple managers on the team
- Self-starter, motivated and proactive, flexible
- Friendly, people-oriented team player
- 1-2 years of experience in licensing / brand management
- Fluent level Japanese – verbal and written a plus but not required
- Strong math skills, attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google software including but not limited to Word/Google Docs, Excel/Google Sheets, and Powerpoint/Google Slides
- Possess problem solving qualities, ability to prioritize and adjust to the circumstances, and a high degree of efficiency in time management skills
- Interest in anime, video games, US and Japanese pop culture and trends.
