Job Description
Summary: The Licensing Administrator and Accounting Clerk are responsible for managing all aspects related to the Company's licensing. This includes reviewing requests, releasing licenses, tracking and monitoring all transactions, and collaborating with the accounting department to provide financial and administrative services to ensure all responsibilities are met on time.
Licensing Administrator Duties and Responsibilities
- Process and manage requests for licenses
- Verifies the legitimacy of license requests
- Ensure that all license requests meet licensing requirements
- Analyze licensing processes for efficiency and recommend improvements.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external parties regarding licensing issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of licenses, including application data, issuance, renewal dates, and compliance status
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties through the licensing process and resolve any issues or concerns
- Generate reports on licensing activities, status updates, and compliance issues for management review.
- Document and track all the licenses released both electronically and via hard copy
- Brainstorm ideas with the CFO about changes and updates to licensing products
- Report unusual patterns of request to management
Ensure that internal stakeholders are informed of licensing issues that may affect business operations or customer satisfaction.
- Make good faith efforts to protect information on the company’s licensing products, procedures, etc.
- Address and resolve complex licensing issues that may arise, including disputes or discrepancies in license terms
Accounting Duties and Responsibilities
- Post financial transactions using appropriate software
- Assist with full-cycle accounting departmental duties
- Review processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Communicate with vendors via phone or email as necessary
- Assist the accounting department with all areas of accounting
- Receive and record vouchers
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Administrative Duties
- Prepare purchase orders to procure supplies as and when required
- Answering inbound and outbound calls providing adequate information and transferring calls to appropriate personnel when necessary
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
- This position is hybrid remote; the Candidate is required to be at the LAX office once every two weeks

Education/Experience:
Associate degree or HS diploma/general education degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
Language Ability:
Strong interpersonal communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be required to use written and oral communication skills. The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondences, and memos is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents.
Math Ability:
This position requires basic business math skills.
Reasoning Ability:
The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box. Must possess the ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data as well as identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, provide alternate resolutions.
Computer Skills:
Strong personal computer literacy is required, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and other appropriate software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Physical Demands:
This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may also be extensive lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required.
