Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Elevate Addiction Services

Elevate Addiction Services is seeking an LVN to join our hard-working and fun Health Office team to ensure our client's health matters are being addressed.

You will meet with our clients upon intake to complete the requisite health screenings and assessments, as well as throughout the duration of their stay with us to help address any health issues or concerns they may have, all done under the supervision of our Medical Director.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients upon intake to perform CIWA and/or COWS assessments
• Health Office administration - logging medications, both controlled and OTC, both paper and electronic filing
• Meeting with clients to discuss any health-related issues that they may have
• Liaising with the Health Wellness Director, fellow nurses and Medical Director regarding client needs

Complying with the 6 points of IMS Services:

• Obtaining medical histories
• Monitoring health status to determine whether the health status warrants transfer of the patient in order to receive urgent or emergency care
• Testing associated with detoxification from alcohol or drugs
• Providing alcoholism or drug abuse recovery or treatment services
• Overseeing patient self-administered medications
• Treating substance abuse disorders, including detoxification

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of California
• Valid California Driver's License
• Must have current First Aid CPR certification
• Experience a plus
• Computer proficiency
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Compensation

$40-44 hourly
