We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land and topographic surveys, recording and analyzing the results, and providing expert advice for site development projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their knowledge and skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our organization, contributing to the planning and execution of various projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed land and topographic surveys to determine the exact locations and relative positions of natural and man-made features on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater.
2. Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
3. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
4. Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
5. Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.
6. Establish, or re-establish, land and property boundaries.
7. Conduct research in surveying and mapping methods, using knowledge of techniques of photogrammetric map compilation and electronic data processing.
8. Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
9. Survey bodies of water to determine navigable channels and to secure data for construction of breakwaters, piers, and other marine structures.
10. Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Land Surveyor.
2. Proven experience with topographic mapping and topographic surveys.
3. Demonstrated ability to record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
4. Extensive experience in site development.
5. Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
6. Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor.
7. Proficiency in using GPS and GIS systems for surveying.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication and report writing skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
11. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
