Schedule | Base schedule is a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Work from home up to 50% of the time with supervisor approval.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be the anchor of our engineering services team. Project types include multi-story office buildings, recreation centers, high-end residential homes, large warehouses, and others. Materials include reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, cold-form, and timber.

Job Responsibilities
- 100% hands on approach in the origination of analysis, design, calculations, drawings, and specifications to create Construction Documents for large conventional building projects
- Establish Western Steel Building typical details, standards, and calculation templates
- Assist in proposals and business development
- Oversight and mentorship of engineering team
- Serve as Engineer of Record
- Peer review work originated by others
- Address technical issues during construction
- Field walkdowns and drafting field reports
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural focus
- 10-15+ years of experience in structural design
- Licensed PE and SE
- Serving as Engineer of Record
- Currently managing a diverse team in the completion of multiple projects through design and construction phases
- Highly organized, self-motivated, strong communicator, and respected leader
- Proficient in Revit for Construction Document origination
- Proficient in MathCAD for developing calculations
- Proficient in Ram Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar for completing structural analysis
- Advanced knowledge of CSI MasterFormat specifications
- Advanced knowledge of engineering codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE7, etc)
