We are currently seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and dedicated Licensed Social Worker to join our exceptional healthcare team. The chosen candidate will have a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to our patients, with a focus on mental health, addiction, and substance abuse. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a commitment to improving the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and addiction. You will work closely with a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, and nurses, to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
As a Licensed Social Worker in our team, your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their social, emotional, psychological, and environmental needs related to their mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
2. Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized care plans for patients, in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
3. Providing counseling and therapy sessions to patients individually or in groups, utilizing various therapeutic techniques.
4. Assisting patients and their families in understanding and coping with the social and emotional aspects of their conditions.
5. Coordinating with community resources to ensure patients have access to necessary services and supports.
6. Advocating for patients' rights and needs, and ensuring their voices are heard in their care.
7. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and evaluate patients' progress and care plans.
8. Providing crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
9. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patients' care and progress.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
2. A valid license to practice as a Social Worker (LCSW) in the state.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the healthcare industry, particularly in mental health, addiction, and substance abuse.
4. Additional certifications or licenses such as LPC or LAC are highly desirable.
5. Extensive knowledge and experience in psychiatry, detox, and mental health.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
8. The ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
