Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Albion, MI office.

Job Description

• Design and analyze solar racking structures, including ground mounts and carports.
• Develop drawings and specifications for structural projects, considering materials, environmental conditions, and design requirements.
• Conduct stability assessments to ensure structures withstand wind, seismic activity, and snow loads.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafters to develop safe, innovative, and efficient structural designs.
• Perform on-site testing for preliminary soil capacity and inspect existing structures to identify issues or recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in cold-formed steel design is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, Revu Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
