Licensed Practical Nurse - Springtree Rehabilitation and Health Care Center

Licensed Practical Nurses Assist the medical staff in caring for patients by completing the following responsibilities:

1. Interviews Patient about current problems, medications and allergies and reviews medical record for pertinent previous and current information

2. Participates in patient treatment regiment including administering medications

3. Establishes and documents patient treatment regimen under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

4. Performs routine immunizations, neubulizer treatments and visual acuity testing

5. Assists in phlebotomy such as identifies patient, check requisitions and evaluation infusion site.

6. Check IV Function and patient comfort and discontinuing IV at appropriate time as ordered by physician

7. Maintain adequate inventory of examination room supplies

8. Participates in the orientation and training of new personal

9. Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, states and local requirements as well as Joint Commission standards.
