Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - HourlyWork

HourlyWork is helping the Price Center hire a LPN for its team. Started by a small group of dedicated families for their children in 1977, the Price Center has retained its sense of family, community, and belonging as it grows and continues to serve special individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges. The Price Center offers Day Habilitation, Residential, Employment, and Community-based programs that foster self-confidence and maximize physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities, while striving to help each individual live as independently as possible in the larger community.

The LPN will assist agency RN/Healthcare Supervisor (HCS) in overseeing health and safety supports for all individuals with a focus on individuals in our Residential Program. Other duties can include:

• Assist in completing all necessary medical documentation, developing residential policies and procedures, trainings for program staff, and hospital discharges.
• Support residential managers with clinical questions both in person and via the phone.
• The LPN would work 3 days a week in the day program and would focus on the care of participants who are also in our residential program. These 3 days the hours would be 8:30 - 3:30. The other 2 days would be from 9:30-5:30 with the expectation being that they would be at the residences from 3-5:30pm on those days. There is some flexibility on the two late days, but not a Monday or a Friday. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.

Requirements for the role: 

• Current Massachusetts license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing.
• Ability to lift and support body weight of any program individual with assistance of another employee.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s license, a clean driving record and a willingness to use agency vehicle in the course of employment.
• Preference: Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Training/proficiency in MAP and Universal Precautions.
