The Medical Specialties clinic treats a variety of specialties which include: pediatrics, endocrinology, gastroenterology, sleep medicine, pulmonary, rheumatology, nephrology, and general internal medicine. This is a great setting to learn a lot about different areas of medicine.

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assists with procedures as ordered by physician.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples. 

• Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing
• Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
• Compassionate, team players who are focused on providing the best care possible for their patients!
