Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Med/Surg (Nights) - Tanner Health System

The LPN may be a new graduate or a nurse who has not practiced nursing within the past five years. The LPN functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The LPN provides nursing care, performs basic nursing procedures and administers medications once competency has been determined.

*Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse or Multistate Nursing License

*Healthcare Provider (CPR)

Qualifications

*NOTE: ACLS within 6 months of hire into ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab.

*NOTE: NRP within 6 months of hire into Nursery and L&D.

*NOTE: PALS within one year of hire in PACU

*NOTE: BLS required within 30 days of hire.

*Qualifications as designated in Nursing Clinical Ladder Policy.
