Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN)

Job Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN/LVN will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, conduct clinical assessments, and support patients in their recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care such as administering medications, dressing wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, and feeding patients.
• Collect and document patient health information and vital signs accurately.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, preventive care, and medical procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the nursing supervisor.
• Assist in emergency response, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
• Participate in staff meetings and continue education to enhance nursing skills.

Qualifications:

• Valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and principles of nursing care.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Labor Rate: $30/hr.
