Float Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within scope for assigned patients on the nursing unit under the direction of a registered nurse within the nursing team.
• Responsible for the care given to the patient and for the decision regarding which nursing tasks can be safely delegated to licensed and unlicensed persons involved in patient care.
• Must be competent in a wide variety of nursing skills.
• Accountable for adhering to all standards of nursing care and promoting a team effort among co-workers.
• Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State Pracitcal Nurse License in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required. ACLS and PALS are encouraged, but not required.
• Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
