This Licensed Practical Nurse position is for a vacancy located in our Denham Springs Behavioral Health Clinic. Please see the Examples of Work below for additional information for this position.
This position may be filled as a Probational Appointment . Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere from 6 months to 24 months.
Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range for the position:
+ Licensed Practical Nurse 3: $22.30/hour minimum - $33.08/hour maximum
Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximum amount usually offered to new hires .
An additional premium pay of $1.00/hour may be applied hour for hour working in direct patient care.
No Civil Service test scoreis required in order to be considered for this vacancy.

This nursing position provides direct nursing care to clients receiving treatment for mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or medical illness, and is responsible for performing individualized direct client care. This position performs standard nursing services, which may include the following: administering prescribed medications, performing injections, maintaining documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), administering screenings, tests, and other required labs, conducting assessments and screens for new clients, participating as an active member of an inter-disciplinary Treatment Team , etc .
