Licensed Practical Nurse I - Biogensys

We are hiring a Licenced Practical Nurse for one of our clients in New Brunswick, NJ.

Job Description:

Nurses Duties

• Maintaining clients' safety in the center.
• Have students' baseline vital sign the first day of the program before they get sick.
• Prepare students' emergency pink envelops (content: student information, Health insurance card and photo identification) ready in case of emergency. 2copies, 1 for residential and 1 for the student medical trip-bag.
• Check students' medications and assess students independent in administering their medications.
• New Students Preadmission interview on zoom or in-person with other disciplines.
• Attending the preadmission meeting with the Manager, VR-Supervisors, Residential supervisor and social worker to discuss about the students' interview and when to start the program During the tour the nurse meet with new students' discussing about the nursing and residential activities during the day, evening and night
• On the first day student will need to sign the emergency release forms, diet and medication compliance form.
• Always update the student's medical trip-bag for any expired medication and ready to go for trip
• Give basic first aid as needed (minor cuts, headaches, N/V Low BS, Low BP, HBP
• Understands that 911 is to be called for major medical issues
• Give PRN as ordered by the doctor
• Maintain clients Confidentiality.
• Monitor client during breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Documents as needed (In clients' charts).
• Know the locations of medical supplies, emergency envelopes, medical trip bag, and PRN Chart.
• Communicate with staffs (Manager, supervisors, residential staffs and teachers) about clients' status as needed.
• Familiarized with emergency evacuation procedures.
• Familiarized and understand the use of nurse call bell
  • Client educations on health issues.
  • Complete other task as needed.

Work hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 8:30 Am-4:00 PM 8/5/24-8/29/24
