Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic - Mon Health

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs all nursing functions within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse in the clinic setting to facilitate patient flow and care by the provider. LPN's play a crucial role in delivering quality and patient care, managing clinical operations, and promoting patient wellness.

EXPERIENCE

• One-year experience in an urgent care, emergency department, or medical office setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of outpatient procedures.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an approved program of practical nursing.
• The current West Virginia State Nursing license is required.
• Must possess BLS Certification within the orientation period.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Monitor patient conditions and report changes or concerns to the supervising RN or physician promptly.
• Conduct initial patient assessments, including signs, history review, and complaints.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, medications, treatments, and preventive care measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Prepare exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies for patient visits.

SKILLS:

• Communication skills to discuss patient care plans, progress, and concerns with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members.
