AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide skilled nursing care to patients in Specialty and Primary Care Clinics at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center and its associated clinics. The LPN will function both independently and dependently under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or designee, demonstrating competence in providing care for adult psychiatric, medical, and geriatric patients.
This position supports acute care medical/surgical areas, ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and outpatient labs at the following locations:
- The Ralph H. Johnson VAMC (Charleston): 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401
- VA Primary Care & Dental Clinic: 6450 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406
- Savannah VA Clinic: 1170 Shawnee St., Savannah, GA 31419
- Myrtle Beach CBOC: 1800 Airpark Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
- Market Commons VA Clinic: 1101 Johnson Avenue, Suite R-2A, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
- Beaufort VA Clinic: 1 Pinckney Blvd., Beaufort, SC 29902
- Hinesville VA Clinic: 500 East Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville, GA 31313
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Specialty and Primary Care Clinics.
- Perform approved medical center procedures as described in the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and Vocational Nurse VA Qualification Standards.
- Administer and document actions related to prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications, per facility policies.
- Observe and document patient responses to medications and promptly report changes in the patient’s condition to the RN or MD/DO.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver exceptional care.
- Demonstrate a high level of independence in managing patient care under supervision.
- Uphold customer service standards in all patient and family interactions.
Requirements:
- Updated Resume
- Current LPN License in a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. Territory.
- BLS/CPR Certification (AHA Only).
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
- Ability to pass a South Carolina Criminal Background Check.
- Minimum 2 years of current experience as an LPN.
Period of Performance:
The period of performance for this role will include a 12-month base from the date of award, with 4 consecutive one-year options.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in acute care medical/surgical areas or outpatient/ambulatory care settings.
- Knowledge and skill sufficient to perform patient assessments and deliver care aligned with VA policies and standards.
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a diverse healthcare team.

Compensation Range:
$26-$29/hour
