Position Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following applicable laws and standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.Current state registration/licensure in good standing.Preferred one year of experience in post-acute care.CPR certification required upon hire.Specific Job Requirements:
Engage in community health projects.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.Coordinate with patients and families for care planning.Demonstrate good body mechanics and decision-making skills.Knowledgeable of relevant laws and guidelines.Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships.Adhere to company policies and Code of Conduct.Essential Functions:
Follow treatment plans and chart progress.Utilize therapy software effectively.Provide excellent customer service.Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate regular attendance.Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.Perform physical tasks as required.
