Employees must be Boston residents on their date of hire and for the duration of their
employment subject to BWSC policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make periodic inspections of all plant equipment, report conditions found and repairs needed to supervisor; repair and adjust defective equipment; inspect, maintain and repair wiring, vacuum pumps, switched, chlorinating equipment, contacts, motors and other electrical equipment at all pumping stations; operates gates, valves, air conditioning units and high tension disconnections. Responsible for installation of industrial, residential and commercial equipment such as heating, lighting and power in Commission facilities. Work with personnel in the installation and maintenance of pumps and equipment.
Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must have Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician’s License or Master Electrician’s License. Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License. Required to work any emergency as directed by the Commission or its designee.
