SUMMARY:
Assists with providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in technical electrical skills to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Part-Time work from September through May
- Two days a week following the Keller ISD Odd/Even schedule (M/W or T/Tr).
- 11:30am to 3:00pm; 2 days per week (Approximately 7 hours per week)
- Excluding district holidays, testing, and other scheduled dates
- Assist the KCAL Instructor in classroom setting with teaching technical electrical skills.
- Supervise electrical students as they practice hands-on learning experiences.
- Serve as a mentor for students; provide electrical expertise and instruction to individual students.
Safety
- Prevent accidents through the enforcement of policies, regulations, and ordinances governing the conduct of persons.
- Provide a safe environment for all students.
- Assist in supporting the rules, regulations, and safety of the facility.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting
and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not
immediately correctable to supervisor.
- Complete an incident report for all accidents and injuries.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Communication
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
Other
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.
- Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
- Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Journeyman Electrician’s License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
Experience:
- Four (4) years successful related experience

- Ability to use hand and power tools
