Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Telehealth Counselor (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to join our team. In this role, you will provide therapy and counseling services to both pediatric and adult clients, promoting optimal mental health. You'll work with individuals experiencing a variety of challenges, including suicidal thoughts, addiction, family and marital issues, stress, self-esteem problems, and more. This position also includes supervisory responsibilities, providing guidance and consultation to master's level and associate level counselors.
This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings to fulfill supervision requirements (no more than once per quarter). Candidates must reside and be licensed in Arizona.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Intake and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments for clients and families, facilitate child/family team (CFT) meetings, and coordinate discharge planning with other agencies.
Individual and Group Therapy: Provide therapy sessions to help clients overcome dependencies, adjust to life changes, and develop new skills and strategies.
Solution/Strength-Based Interventions: Utilize best practice approaches to address client and family needs, engaging in both formal and informal resources for transition, discharge, and aftercare plans.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare required reports, incident reports, performance audits, and maintain clinical oversight for coordination with agencies such as DCS, DDD, ALTCS, schools, and other providers.
Client Advocacy: Guide clients in developing problem-solving skills, encourage expression of feelings, and assist in gaining insight into personal and relational dynamics.
Treatment Planning: Collect client information, develop and implement treatment plans, and act as an advocate in crisis situations.
Supervision and Consultation: Provide direct supervision and clinical oversight to master's level and associate counselors, review and co-sign new assessments and treatment plans.
Skills and Abilities:
Behavioral Knowledge: Understanding of human behavior, mental health, performance, and individual differences.
Diagnostic and Treatment Skills: Knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and psychological rehabilitation methods.
Cultural Awareness: Insight into group behavior, societal trends, and cultural history and dynamics.
Technology Proficiency: Strong skills in supporting Telehealth practices.
Education and Experience:
Educational Requirements: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field required; Ph.D. preferred.
Licensing: Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (LCSW preferred).
Clinical Experience: Experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
Telehealth Experience: Prior experience providing clinical services remotely and using an Electronic Health Record system.
Supervisory Experience: Experience supervising other counselors or clinicians.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Flexible scheduling
Preferred availability in the late afternoon/evening (between 3-7 pm)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000, based on experience
