About the Job
- Schedule: Mon - Friday 8am to 5pm
- Location: Ascension Seton Primary Care McCarthy Clinic
Apply specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders, conditions and addictions.
- Administer and interpret tests and measures of psychosocial functioning for the purpose of diagnosing mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive and developmental disorders and disabilities.
- Develop and implement appropriate assessment-based treatment plans.
- Consult with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies and patient's relatives to ensure compliance with the patient's treatment plan.
- Provide crisis-oriented psychotherapy as well as short-term and long-term psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic treatment.
- Document patient therapy in accordance with both federal and state regulations.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Social Worker credentialed from the Texas Department of State Health Services required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 3 years of experience including counseling preferred.
- Bilingual - spanish speaking preferred.
