Licensed Broker - Insight Global

Valid Customs Broker License.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs brokerage.

Knowledge of all customs laws and regulations

Working knowledge of OGA (ie. FDA, EPA, etc..).

A client of insight global is seeking a Licensed Customs Broker to sit onsite in Houston. The Customs Broker will be responsible for managing and overseeing the customs clearance process for clients. This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, preparing and submitting necessary documentation, and providing expert advice on customs-related matters. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process import/export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, and procedures. Classify goods according to tariff coding systems. Coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to facilitate the clearance of goods. Ensure compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulations. Provide guidance and advice to clients on customs-related issues. Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to customs clearance. Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and procedures.

Compensation: $80,000to $100,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
