Starting Pay : $20 per hour


Location: Chicago, IL


Internship Start & Length: February/March for 7 months minimum with potential to convert to full-time


Reports To: Director of Operations/Manager, Strategy & Analytics

Summary





This internship position is focused on supporting the delivery of analytics and insights to Levy’s operators and partners in our Cultural Attractions division surrounding food & beverage operations specifically at Ravinia Festival and a handful of other museums, zoos, performing arts, and cultural venues in the Chicago area. In this role, you will be responsible for working with Levy’s Director of Operations and E15’s analysts to develop analytical tools (modeling, reporting, visualizations, and more) to help drive the business and enhance the guest experience.





Expectations





The majority of work can be completed remotely but with the minimum expectation of 1 day/week in person either at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park or E15’s Home Offices at 980 N Michigan Ave. The typical workload would be 15-25 hours/week.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities






+ Develop and/or enhance reporting (heat maps, dashboards, slide decks, status updates) standards and formats for partner and operator end use.


+ Analyze and build optimal solutions around specific business needs (labor, costs, speed of service, menu concentration, pricing).


+ Perform routine data checks to identify any major issues with the flow of transactional data.


+ Create/maintain an organized environment of data for efficient data analysis.


+ Develop specific knowledge about the venue, including physical configuration, proposed technology, and operational processes


+ Work alongside Levy operators and venue clients to fulfil ad-hoc analysis requests.


+ Enhance and maintain reporting (heat maps, dashboards, slide decks, status updates) standards and formats for partner and operator end use




+ Develop specific knowledge about the venue, including physical configuration, proposed technology, and operational processes


+ Identify opportunities to change existing product offering or distribution


+ Communicate key guest insights and potential action items


+ Leverage available artificial intelligence, consumer insights, and emerging technology tools to drive guest experience and profitability






Qualifications






+ Self-starter who is eager to learn the business and drive insights


+ Earning a degree in business strategy, business analytics, finance, economics, or a related field


+ Experience using SQL, R, Python, and/or Tableau for data analysis and visualization.


+ Can share examples of using data in a classroom setting, personal projects, or work experience.
