Mission Staffing is looking for fit and attentive security guards. The job entails a responsible candidate who will record the names of visitors, patrolling the property, and apprehending any trespassers. To qualify you must be alert and professional, and aware of all visitors to the property and ensures that no inappropriate actions take place.
This is a NON-COMMISSIONED POSITION.
Training is available for NON-COMMISSIONED POSITIONS.
$12-$15/HR. (DEPENDING ON POST ASSIGNED).

Requirements:
- Pass pre-employment 10 panel urinalysis drug screen and comply with strict drug free employment policy.
- Pass background check, including FBI fingerprinting.
- Due to nature of the position, you may not have any pending felony or Class A or B misdemeanor convictions. You may not have any felony, class A or B misdemeanor convictions within the last 5 years. You must not have been found in court to be incompetent by reason of a mental defect or disease, nor considered chemically dependent (including alcohol), as defined by O.C. 1702.
- Not be required to register in this or any other state as a sex offender.
- If Veteran, possess a military discharge other than dishonorable and must provide their DD-214 at the time of application.
- Be able to register with Texas Department of Protective Services.
- Must be willing and able to complete 8 hours Level II Security Training (state requirement) before offer of employment. The company will pay for the class.
Security Guard Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols.

- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to solve problems as they arise.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations.
- Candidates applying for a role should have at least a year of work experience.
- We do prefer applicants who have worked in the police force or the army or those who have previous experience as a Security Guard, Security Officer, or another similar role.
- Candidates should also have demonstrable experience working with security systems, be proficient in Microsoft Office and know how to write reports. And know how to utilize a Smartphone and Applications.
Security Guard Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid Driver's license and clean MVR.
- U.S. citizen, U.S. National or lawful permanent resident.
- Must have a valid Texas guard license and 2 years of security experience. (Must possess unexpired state-issued guard license on the first day of duty.)
