Position Summary
The Legal Services Manager will assist Small Business HUB clients by offering legal services across the state of Rhode Island as part of the agencys RI Small Business HUB. The Legal Services Manager will report to the Small Business HUB Attorney.
Location: Headquarters - 30 Exchange Terrace, Providence, RI 02903
In Person/Remote/Hybrid: This position is 100% in person
Responsibilities
- Meet with Small Business HUB clients across the state of Rhode Island to determine their respective legal needs.
- Provide technical assistance to Small Business HUB clients in the process of bidding on government and private contracts, and bonding.
- Provide administrative support, as directed, by the Hub Attorney
- Research and analyze current statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources relevant to protect the interests of Small Business HUB clients.
- Coordinate the collection, review, preparation, and production of legal documents for Small Business HUB clients. File documents with Secretary of State as needed.
- Under the supervision and review of the Hub attorney, draft and review basic business contracts.
- Help businesses understand employment laws, health and safety regulations, and other industry specific regulations, as applicable
- Draft employment policies, handbooks, and other documents as requested or applicable.
- Manage and advise on legal budget for Small Business HUB clients.
- Clarify legal language for Small Business HUB clients.
- Establish and maintain licensing step-by-step guides for incubating small businesses in key industries.

- Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a legal assistant or similar role
- Bachelors degree required
- Paralegal certification required

Salary is commensurate with experience.
