A small, family law firm eagerly searching for an Office Manager/ Legal Secretary to join their team. Job duties:
- Prepare, edit and proofread a wide variety of legal documents and forms
- Speak with/email clients daily, sometimes involving sensitive info
- Coordinate meeting logistics
- Organize and maintain attorney contacts and calendars
- Answer incoming telephone calls, document and relay messages
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic files for the firm and clients
- Handle accounting functions such as paying firm bills, preparing client invoices, processing expense
- Ordering office supplies
- Input, review, edit and update attorney time entries and print reports
- Correspondence and draft pleadings
- Light paralegal assistance
Requirements:
- Must have experience working with clients.
- Experienced secretary / legal assistant work preferred.
- Experience in family law a bonus.
- High level of service is required- Someone who is elegant/good bedside manners.
- Must work independently.
- Able to manage a few lawyers at a time.
- Able to work in fast paced office.
