Position Overview: Agility Recruiting is partnering with a growing law firm who is looking to bring on a full time Legal Assistant to join their team. This role is tailored towards individuals with a background in legal secretary or paralegal work within employment law, who are looking to transition into law firm administrative functions.
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to key members of our team, including the Managing Partner and Case Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative tasks related to class actions and employment matters, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Serve as an assistant case manager/litigation manager, maintaining organized case files and assisting with case management tasks.
- Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and information flow.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and documents related to legal matters.
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and reports as needed.
- Conduct legal research and gather information to support employment law cases.
- Support the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity within the employment practice.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or paralegal within the employment law practice group.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proactive attitude with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem-solve independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes related to class actions and employment matters.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion in handling confidential materials.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
