Salary: $80,000 - $97,500 per year

We have an active search for a litigation legal secretary with 5+ years of solid experience to join an exceptional law firm in San Diego! The opportunity is with an established full service mid-sized firm that specializes in general liability, labor and employment, professional liability (emphasis on design professionals), construction, education law, business law, class actions, and more. The firm's mission is simple: to provide
comprehensive solutions for the legal needs of companies throughout California.
You will join an established support team of legal secretaries and paralegals that support attorneys in complex litigation and trial in state and federal courts. Civil defense experience is strongly preferred, but not required. Interested candidates should have strong civil litigation knowledge, be proficient in calendaring, have strong attention to detail, experience preparing legal documents, and the ability to work well independently in a busy office environment. This role will be crucial to the success of the San Diego office as it continues to grow and take on additional business.

Job Details
Interested applications should have at least 2 years of heavy litigation experience.
Minimum qualifications are as follows:
- Knowledge of state and federal court filing requirements
- Knowledge of Calendaring without the use of calendaring program
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience preparing legal documents including motions (MSJs), discovery, pleadings an
judicial council forms
- Ability to prepare TOAs/TOCs in Microsoft Word
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
- Efficient and effective attention to detail with a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with iManage, Coyote Analytics, Westlaw - Deadline Assistant, and PACER
- Team player with ability to interact cohesively work coworkers to achieve a common goal
