About the Job
Our client, a Houston area law firm, is looking to hire a Corporate/Transactional Legal Assistant to join their Tax team. Ideal candidate should have a 4 year degree and desire to work for tax attorneys in a law firm setting OR have at least 4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant supporting Corporate, Transactional or Tax attorneys in a legal setting.
Responsibilities:
Draft correspondence and legal documents as requested
File and request document copies from Secretary of State and Internal Revenue Service (will train)
Schedule appointments and maintain a detailed calendar
Prepare weekly project list for practice area attorneys
Maintain and organize electronic case files
Able to locate documents and information when requested

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or 3 or more years of law firm experience supporting transactional/corporate attorneys
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organizational skills
