JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP is seeking a Corporate Legal Secretary in its Denver, CO office. This role will provide secretarial support for multiple attorneys to maintain an effective and efficient daily workflow in the Corporate Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, and others on the telephone and through written correspondence
- Process documents as assigned
- Coordinate preparation of initial and subsequent drafts of documents
- Proof and mark documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to firm format standards
- Copy, scan, and file various client documents
- Create, organize, and maintain sets of files using electronic and physical file systems
- Prepare closing transcripts
- Schedule of hotel and travel arrangements
- Direct entry of time, recapping expense memoranda accurately
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the with an aptitude to interface with attorneys, clients, and staff
- Ability to work under deadline and workload pressures
- Excellent technical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask with the ability to move from one project to another
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, including skills in section and page breaks, cross referencing, page numbering, headers and footers, styles and schemes, document comparisons, document conversions, and table of contents/authorities
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
- High school (or equivalent) required; college degree given preference
- 3+ years of experience in the secretarial field; legal experience given preference
Position Information
Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: $60,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience
Work Style: Hybrid
