Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
File legal documents with courts and other governmental agencies, ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedures.
Maintain and organize client files, both physical and electronic, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Handle incoming calls and correspondence, responding to inquiries and relaying messages as needed.
Assist in the preparation of trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and briefing binders.
Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals to facilitate case management.
Manage billing processes, track attorney time entries, and prepare client invoices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in legal studies or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software (e.g., Clio, Legal Files).
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
