The Legal Intern – Litigation, Employment, Technology, and General Corporate – will garner hands-on experience in a corporate legal environment through relevant projects and assignments under the direct supervision of lawyers in Sabre’s Legal Department. Projects and assignments will include legal and factual research on important company topics, including experience working on active or potential litigation matters, global employment issues, intellectual property, contracts, and general corporate matters for a large global corporation.
This role involves working closely with a wide range of in-house lawyers to provide exceptional legal analysis across all other organizations within Sabre.
Responsibilities:
+ Garner hands-on experience through relevant projects and assignments under direct supervision by in-house attorneys
+ Learn about Sabre technology (including IP) and the overall travel industry to apply knowledge to various projects
+ Work under the direct supervision of legal counsel to conduct legal and factual research on important company topics
+ Work collaboratively with individuals within the legal department and other areas of the company to manage tasks and projects
+ Assist with general corporate work as requested by attorneys or paralegals
+ Willing to be on-site in Southlake one (1) to three (3) days per week to shadow members of the legal team and attend other company functions, including summer intern events
+ Additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Current 2L pursuing a full-time law degree at an ABA-accredited law school
+ Strong academic credentials with excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Interest in in-housel legal work covering litigation, employment, contracts, technology, and general corporate work
+ Self-motivated, team player, and excellent attention to detail
+ Understanding of Microsoft products strongly preferred
