Legal Counsel - Personal Injury Focus

Responsibilities:

• Strategize optimal approaches for case resolution, prioritizing client satisfaction and cost-efficiency.
• Analyze discovery documents to tailor strategies for each case, ensuring favorable outcomes.
• Conduct comprehensive depositions and oral hearings for witnesses and experts, ensuring thorough case preparation.
• Engage in direct client communication to understand and address their legal needs and concerns effectively.
• Prepare and file all necessary legal documents for caseload management (averaging 150 cases).
• Supervise and mentor a team of two paralegals and collaborate to compile thorough case briefs for trial preparation.
• Manage a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences as dictated by case requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plaintiff's personal injury law.
• Active licensure in New Jersey.
• Proficient in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and handling property damage claims.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with Case Management and Document Management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and maintain organizational efficiency.
• Experience with trial proceedings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses attributes of teamwork, collaboration, and confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances.
• Fluency in Spanish/English preferred.
