This position will focus on supporting Humana’s home health care operations, which includes CenterWell Home Health, one of the largest home health providers in the country.
+ Provide strategic advice and counsel on operational and regulatory matters, as well as guidance on issues arising in the day-to-day functionality of Humana’s home health line of business, including CenterWell Home Health.
+ Work closely with Compliance, Risk, other attorneys, and key stakeholders on policy matters, compliance and audits.
+ Collaborate and consult with leaders throughout the company in order to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and protection against external risk.
+ Assist with home health M&A projects as may be necessary from time to time.

Required Qualifications
+ Juris Doctorate, with licensing in at least one state
+ At least 3 years of experience in health law at a law firm or in-house health care organization
+ Experience with counseling healthcare providers on basic healthcare law topics, such as fraud, waste and abuse; State licensing and Medicare and Medicaid enrollment; internal and external audits; healthcare related contracting; or mergers and acquisitions
+ Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
+ Ability to work both independently under general supervision and within a team
+ Ability to work in complex organization with diverse clients at all levels of the company
Preferred Qualifications
+ Demonstrated knowledge in a wide range of healthcare law areas
+ Preference will be given for someone with experience in advising home health agencies or other post-acute care providers

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$136,200 - $187,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
