Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all legal activities, including court dates, meetings, and case management.
- Edit and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date case management system.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, depositions, and meetings.
- Conduct legal research and assist in the preparation of legal reports and documents.
- Manage the legal department's calendar, schedule appointments, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies for case management and resolution.
- Handle administrative tasks as required, such as answering phones, filing, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal administrative role.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field. Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal research and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
