Follow @blackstone on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.Business Unit: Legal & Compliance (L&C)Job Title:L&C - Fund Formation Attorney, Assistant Vice President Job Description:The attorney would be a part of a small and specially dedicated centralized fund formation legal team within Blackstone and would:Serve as one of the main point persons regarding advice on fund formation legal matters throughout all stages for fundraising across most of Blackstone’s fund productsAssist and coordinate with outside counsel and business groups on legal matters relating to capital formation / fundraising and fund related issues with respect to investments Interact closely with Institutional Client Solutions, business teams and L&CParticipate in structuring new products and other related product development initiativesAssist in updating and revising of investment vehicles’ offering materialsAssist in the review of investor communications and responses to investor inquiriesAssist investment and business groups in structuring and facilitating new investments in various parts of capital structureQualifications:3+ years of experience practicing fund formation lawIn-house fund formation lawyer or from a law firm with a fund formation practiceMust have technical experience and fundamental understanding of closed end private fundsExperience with open ended private funds is not required but would be very helpfulExperience drafting fund documentationThis role requires someone to be an issue spotter, practical thinker and problem solverDesire to work as part of a collaborative team and willingness to embrace a variety of issuesThe duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
